Kilimanjaro Dairy Cooperatives joint Enterprise Limited (JE) is the umbrella organization for Primary Dairy Cooperatives that was registered in July, 2017 under Cooperative Laws Act No. 6 of 2013. It was formed by fourteen (14) primary dairy cooperatives that are involved in milk sale as their major business in Hai District – Kilimanjaro Region.
To initiate collective marketing of milk through milk collection centers under the primary dairy cooperatives whilst maintaining the hygienic and quality standards for milk products.
To promote efforts of small and medium dairy farmers in Hai & Siha Districts and eventually other districts of Kilimanjaro region to increase their investments in the dairy sector/industry.
Dairy sector is growing in Kilimanjaro region due to the extension services that we provide to small dairy farmers.
To increase production, productivity and value addition of milk and other dairy products
Guideline as to how to setup VET, In order to have a comprehensive production.
To promote joint venture investments in dairy processing by members of the JE together.
